Like any modern love story, I was three sheets to the wind when Tony chatted me up online. It was either his great humour or 19 G&T's and i'd signed myself up to a date the next day! Despite an outrageous olive press colleague induced hangover - I actually followed through and allowed his oversize footwear (Not sure what he was implying) terrible jokes and great choice of Thai food to woo me over.
With a journey thats been as eventful as our first few dates, we've built a bond to sustain it all: hilarious giggles, a couple of tears, too many gins, 3 lock downs, one snapped achilles, ACL and MCL... and about 300m of lint roll - (we all know that story). It's been 7+ years of fun!
Tony is my world (as you all know), my saviour, my only fan and my soul mate. I cannot wait to be married and spend the rest of my life waking up next my own snoring diesel motor and sharing each day with him.
"A chance meeting brought the two of us together", which is what I would like to say to describe how we met. Let’s revisit our original story.
I messaged Matthew, on a whim, one evening after a particularly disappointing New Year’s Eve, without expecting any form of reply. Much to my surprise, he did! A string of messages later and we had made plans to meet for our first date, which happened to be at a Thai restaurant. It was pretty apparent that had a great passion for Thailand. Many years and several passport stamps from Thailand later, we have decided to tie the knot there. And if you have arrived at our website, we look forward to sharing our special day with you.
Matthew is my life, and our loved ones will know that I cannot bear to be apart from him. I am so glad to have written that first message and grateful for his reply. I discover new and wonderful things about him every day, and beam at how much we have grown through the years.
I am so excited to spend the rest of our lives together.
